Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2025 Menswear is the Ultimate Summer Holiday Wardrobe
Cruising chic and poolside panache, this is how you vacation in style.
Ever wondered how dandies dress in their downtime? Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams provides a glimpse with the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2025 collection. Here, he proposes a LVERS holiday in two parts: a transatlantic cruise from Paris to Miami, before soaking in the resort grandeur of the Magic City.
We begin with the journey: picture dandies aboard a yacht, dressed in sartorial sailing fits. Voluminous three-piece suits are de rigeur, as are jackets relaxed with shawl collars. Sporty jackets are elevated in beige fine wool, or elegant Alcantara. Naval codes are present throughout, from collarless sailing jackets to striped knits; the Monogram Regatta even comprises of tiny boats! Another print, a mercurial moiré-effect, is rendered as jacquard in a playful nod to the rippling waves. Lightweight denim adds casual ruggedness to the ensemble.
When the party makes landfall at Miami’s resplendent hotels, the wardrobe switches to pastel-toned poolside attire. A French terry shawl-collared coat riffs on the spa robe, while silk bowling shirts, pyjama suits and track sets (also in French terry) make lounging a luxury. The motifs have shifted as well, turning resort-centric with Breton-striped polos and Bengal stripe shirts with matching bottoms. Raffia, a resort-chic mainstay, is woven into a collarless jacket, and even embroidered into Damier squares on a sheer top.
Even the dandies’ bags take on the characteristics of the maritime environment. The Monogram Heritage motif appears on off-white or light blue canvas bags adorned with hotel key charms. A Damier Denim 3D pattern comes in sun-bleached indigo, while the Miami Jacquard depicts a vintage-effect scenery with palm trees. There are even raffia bags in various iconic styles.
