Look, perhaps society still isn’t ready for a pair of headphones that doubles as a personal air purifier. Dyson understands, which is why the lifestyle techware brand has reworked its audio wearable to focus solely on sound. Meet the Dyson OnTrac, the new high-fidelity headphones that eliminates external noise to deliver the most authentic sonic experience.
To craft an optimal listening environment, the Dyson OnTrac features best-in-class Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with eight microphones to counteract unwanted chatter, as well as ultra-soft micro-suede ear cushions attached to pivotable gimbal arms for the ultimate ergonomic acoustic seal. Coupled with speakers capable of reproducing frequencies between the range of six to 21,000 Hertz, the deepest bass and clearest high notes are achieved with utmost precision.
The Dyson OnTrac provides up to two weeks of audio with 55 hours of battery life, even with ANC enabled. The high-capacity lithium-ion batteries are positioned in the headband for a balanced weight distribution, ensuring comfortable wear.
What really sells the Dyson OnTrac is its endless customisability. There are four base colourways: metallic Aluminium, Copper and Nickel, as well as Ceramic Cinnabar. On top of that, you can swap out the aluminium outer caps and ear cushions for corresponding parts in a range of cheery colours and shiny or matte finishes, with over 2,000 combinations at launch. Our favourite is doing a mix of different colours between each of the outer caps and ear cushions — that’s the sort of chaos we live for. There’s also potential for collaborative designs down the road, which is exciting.
