Hyun Bin Celebrates the OMEGA Masters in Switzerland
Hyun Bin shines as the guest of honor at a special event in Cry D’Er to mark this year’s OMEGA Masters Tournament.
The OMEGA European Masters is one of the most prestigious golf competitions played on European soil located at Crans-Montana. Indisputably the most spectacular and last course on the European Tour schedule, OMEGA hosted a special event on top of the Swiss Alps as the watchmaker celebrated its 22nd year as the title sponsor of the tournament.
Swapping the silver screen for the golf greens of Switzerland was the guest of honor and Brand Ambassador Hyun Bin. The renowned South Korean actor who is widely known for his role in the romantic drama Crash Landing On You, is a long-standing OMEGA enthusiast who expressed his admiration for OMEGA watches and his relationship with Switzerland. “I spent a lot of time in Switzerland during the filming of Crash Landing on You, so I really feel a personal connection to this country. It’s wonderful to be back, especially with my friends at OMEGA. Their standards of style and precision are truly the best in the industry, and it’s an honor for me to represent them,” the actor shares.
With the dramatic and memorable setting at an altitude of 2,200m, Hyun Bin was joined by fellow Brand Ambassador Kiko Mizuhara who is a multi-talented actress, model, and designer from Japan. The model says, “OMEGA watches are always quite breath-taking, so it seems very appropriate to be up here in the mountains with such spectacular views. I’ve really enjoyed my time with the OMEGA family so far. The brand has such a rich variety of passions, so every moment together feels unique.”

Also present at the alpine event were several friends of OMEGA including A-list Filipino actors and avid watch collectors Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, and Maja Salvador.

The OMEGA Masters is one of OMEGA’s sporting highlights of the year, played at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club between August 31 and September 3. Originally called the Swiss Open when it was first played in 1923, the high-altitude competition has remained at the same venue since 1939, making it the oldest golf tournament in Europe to be played on the same course every year.
