The godfather of streetwear drops a new chronograph with the fan-favourite glassbox design.

<a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/tag-heuer-carrera-chronograph-porsche-963-collab-timepiece" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TAG Heuer</a>&rsquo;s collaboration with Japanese street legend Hiroshi Fujiwara started in 2018 with the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/ryan-gosling-stars-in-tag-heuer-short-film-the-chase-for-carrera" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Carrera</a> icon. Introduced in 1963 by a young Jack Heuer as a chronograph built specifically for drivers, it was a seminal design celebrated for being highly precise, legible and brimming with <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/style/tommy-hilfiger-the-hilfiger-racing-club-campaign-preppy-fashion-fall-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">motorsport spirit</a>. Fujiwara contemporised those winning qualities with a graphic, stripped-back execution that exuded fashionable cool, creating an instant cult hit.

Following a second outing involving the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/tag-heuer-partners-with-kith-to-bring-back-iconic-formula-1-watch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Formula 1</a> chronograph, the partners return to the foundational Carrera, this time with the <a href="https://www.hommessingapore.com/watches/tag-heuer-skipper-returns-in-the-carrera-glassbox" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fan-favourite glassbox design</a>. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph X fragment Limited Edition watch once again catches the eye with striking black and white contrast &mdash; a Fujiwara signature at this point. On the super stylish blacked out tri-compax dial, subtle details like fragment&rsquo;s lightning bolt replacing &lsquo;1&rsquo; and &rsquo;11&rsquo; in the date window are magnified by the domed sapphire glassbox crystal. The tonal grey tachymeter scale on the white outer flange is another aesthetic touch by Fujiwara.
Behind, the in-house TH20-00 chronograph movement with 80 hours of power reserve is visible through the open caseback. You&rsquo;ll notice the oscillating weight in the shape of TAG Heuer&rsquo;s emblematic shield is outlined in black, characteristic of Fujiwara&rsquo;s visual language. The fragment logo is also printed on the sapphire crystal, adding another signature detail. Completing the look is TAG Heuer&rsquo;s sleek &ldquo;beads-of-rice&rdquo; bracelet, a 1960s design that was reintroduced earlier this year.
&ldquo;When I look at the TAG Heuer Carrera, I see shapes and stories ready to be designed and expressed,&rdquo; says Fujiwara. &ldquo;My role with this new release was to listen to its structure and make decisions that protect its balance. Every detail has to earn its place. Nothing is added unless it has a reason to exist.&rdquo; That perfectly sums up the clean and confident look of this latest Carrera by the godfather of streetwear.
