South Korean Actor Lee Sang-Yeob Announces His Upcoming Wedding
The My Lovely Boxer actor is set to get married next March.
Lee Sang-Yeob, the actor who stole our hearts as Yoon Gyu-jin in TV drama Once Again, just revealed that he is tying the knot in March 2024. In a recent announcement, his agency confirmed that the actor currently starring in My Lovely Boxer as Kim Tae-young will be walking down the aisle with his fiancée, who is not a celebrity. In consideration of his fiancée’s non-celebrity status, Lee Sang-Yeob has been keeping the details of her identity private, away from the public eye.
A public statement was given by Lee's management agency regarding this joyous news after it was reported by a local media outlet, Sports Seoul, earlier this week. The statement confirms the report as it reads,
"Hello. This is actor Lee Sang Yeob’s agency UB Management Group.
We would like to convey our position regarding actor Lee Sang Yeob’s marriage reports from today. As reported today, it is true that Lee Sang Yeob is currently preparing for a wedding with his non-celebrity bride-to-be in March of next year.
However, since they have just started preparing for the wedding, we ask for your understanding that we cannot provide detailed information. Once the specific schedule is confirmed, we will notify you again.
Thank you."
Lee Sang-Yeob made his acting debut some 16 years ago, landing a role in the drama A Happy Woman. Since then, he’s been acting in projects in both film and TV, starring in dramas like While You Were Sleeping and Eve. The actor has also made a household name for himself in South Korean variety programmes, such as Sixth Sense and Prison Life of Fools, by showcasing different and unexpected sides of himself to audiences which made him not only relatable but lovable too.
