G-Dragon's Brand, PEACEMINUSONE Collabs With Paris Saint-Germain F.C.
The Busan Football Kit made its debut on the pitch where G-dragon met up with the French team
Don't you love it when an unexpected collaboration allows two legends to meet? That was how it felt when 2nd generation K-pop icon and multihyphenate G-dragon arrived at Busan Asia Main stadium yesterday to meet with the Paris Saint-Germain football team, including top Braziallian footballer, Neymar.
On Thursday, the musician-cum-designer had unveiled custom uniforms worn by the team in collaboration with his streetwear brand, PEACEMINUSONE. The team debut the uniforms on the pitch where they played a friendly match against Jeonkub Hyundai Motors, where they won with 3 goals (two of which scored by Neymar)
These uniforms cleverly combine the team's distinctive colors with elements inspired by the Korean fashion label, PEACEMINUSONE. The players' names on the back are crossed out in a nod to the classic logo of the fashion imprint. Additionally, the quintessential Daisy iconography of the label is featured all over the uniform numbers. At the bottom of each piece, you'll find the phrase, "ICI C’EST BUSAN," which translates to "This is Busan" in English, written in a similar style.
PEACEMINUSONE also shared an image of a new T-shirt featuring identical motifs. The black silhouette proudly displays their signature Daisy logo, the "ICI C’EST BUSAN" lettering, and PEACEMINUSONE’s classic branding. However, the brand captioned the post with the enigmatic date, "August 3, 2023," leaving fans uncertain about the potential release of this design.
With the fusion of these two creative forces, fans eagerly await more information on the possible availability of the PEACEMINUSONE-inspired merchandise. It remains to be seen whether these striking uniforms and the accompanying T-shirt will be made available for purchase, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding this unexpected collaboration.
