Switzerland’s Graubünden canton welcomes a brand-new alpine attraction this summer: Landwasser World. Nestled between the spa town of Alvaneu and the railway platform at Filisur, this immersive destination is built around the iconic 142-metre Landwasser Viaduct — a marvel of Swiss engineering and central highlight of the UNESCO-listed Albula Line.

Visitors can choose to explore one of five Adventure Worlds — Railway, Agriculture, Forest, Water, and Culture — or drift between them all at their own pace, thanks to a network of trains, chairlifts and hiking trails.

Railway World is the heart of the attraction. From May to October 2025, a historic 1920s train runs daily between Davos and Filisur, threading through the dramatic Zügen Gorge and Wiesen Viaduct before reaching Landwasser’s signature arc. Arriving in Filisur, visitors can continue their journey on the Viaduct Shuttle to Alvaneu, or take the Landwasser Express (affectionately known as the "Choo Choo Traie") to the base of the viaduct and back. A new shuttle drops passengers off a short walk to the Hennings viewing platform, a prime yet uncrowded spot for breathtaking views of the six-pillar bridge.

Forest World takes you up the Darlux chairlift, passing over the Albula railway en route to La Diala, a rustic timber-clad restaurant in the mountains. Meanwhile, Water World follows the Ansaina trail, with ten interactive stops (including iron-rich springs and whispering posts) along the Landwasser and Albula rivers.

Finally, Culture World invites guests to explore the FiliTour walking trail in Filisur, which passes by Engadin homes, medieval chapels and local oral histories. Train lovers won’t want to miss the Bergün village museum, home to a scale model of the Albula Line’s complex route between Bergün and Preda.

Whether you’re a railway romantic, nature seeker, or culture enthusiast, Landwasser World offers a living showcase woven into amazing alpine landscape. Part open-air museum, part transit system, it is one Swiss summer experience not to be missed.
