A worn wooden floor, folding chairs, peeling walls, and the soft hum of a lone piano—there was no extravagance at the Ami Paris Fall/Winter 2025 show. Instead, creative director Alexandre Mattiussi chose an understated setting in Paris, one that stripped fashion back to its essence. Against this raw backdrop, his latest designs took center stage, emphasising craftsmanship over spectacle.
The runway cast blended fresh talent with iconic figures, including Karen Elson and Liya Kebede, whose striking presence added depth to the collection’s narrative. Menswear leaned into tailored separates, featuring double-breasted jackets, structured overcoats, and sharp trousers—a quiet homage to Ami Paris' signature suiting. The womenswear pieces, in turn, felt like natural extensions of the men’s collection. Suede and checked skirts, olive-hued tailored vests, shirts accessorised with tone-on-tone bandanas, and flowing satin dresses all exuded a quiet confidence, proving that masculinity and femininity need not be opposites but complements.
