A year after becoming the first-ever creative director at Ray-Ban, A$AP Rocky has unveiled his first metal eyewear collection for the brand. It also marks his debut range of optical frames. The result feels like a turning point, blending Ray-Ban&rsquo;s heritage with a sharper, more modern edge.
Rocky&rsquo;s influence is clear throughout. The designs reflect his own style: confident, stripped back and culturally aware. While the collection nods to classic Ray-Ban shapes from past decades, it avoids feeling nostalgic. Instead, it reshapes those familiar lines into something new.
The metal frames come in soft oval and slim rectangular silhouettes, finished in timeless metallic tones. Some are rimless, others designed as bold sunglasses. Each pair feels considered. The proportions are slightly altered, the angles sharpened, and the overall effect is both refined and contemporary.
Certain models lean into architectural precision. The RX3927V offers a slim, understated profile that respects the brand&rsquo;s past while clearly moving it forward. The oval 0RX3931V channels 90s influence but with a modern tension that makes it relevant now.
On the sunglasses side, the 0RB3927 features a narrow rectangular frame with sharp angles. The 0RB3931 updates the classic oval shape with a cleaner, more current feel. Meanwhile, the rimless styles &mdash; 0RX3929V, 0RX3928V, 0RB3929 and 0RB3928 &mdash; focus on minimalism. Thick lenses, precise lines and a careful balance of lightness and impact make the details stand out.

At the centre of the collection sits a futuristic wraparound design, available exclusively through selected retailers. It&rsquo;s bold and instantly recognisable, designed to feel personal to the wearer rather than tied to a particular era.
To introduce the collection, Rocky teamed up with fellow rap icon Nas. Set in a dimly lit New York diner, the campaign plays with 90s visual references while keeping a modern edge. The message is simple: culture never stands still. It evolves.
With this metal collection, Ray-Ban signals a new direction. By placing creative control in Rocky&rsquo;s hands, the brand shows that style, much like music, is always moving forward.
