BTS' Jin is Announced as Gucci's Newest Global Ambassador
Fresh out of his military service, the K-pop superstar is making moves in all realms including fashion
It has been full steam ahead for Jin of K-pop superstar group, BTS since he ended his military enlistment duties. The latter had him away from the public eye for almost two years and now, ARMYs are rejoicing, seeing the oldest member of the group showing up in new projects. The latest one being his freshly announced ambassadorship with Italian luxury maison, Gucci.
The news was made official today with Gucci’s Creative Director Sabato De Sarno saying, "I am very excited to welcome Jin as Global Brand Ambassador. His warm and kind personality is truly magnetic, and his style is simply unique. He is a generous and extraordinary artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honoured to share this journey with him.” The dashing singer will be their Global Brand Ambassador and working with De Sarno on future campaigns as the face of the maison. He joins an illustrious list of Gucci family members including NewJeans' Hanni, IU, Jay Park, Chinese actor Xiao Zhan and many more
Jin echoed De Sarno's sentiments. When asked about his new role, the idol said, “Gucci is an iconic brand with a long-standing heritage and modernity. It is meaningful and thrilling to be a part of such a house." This announcement comes after another recent one where Jin was appointed the global brand ambassador of FRED Jewelry, proving his undeniable presence in the fashion realm with no signs of slowing down.
The BTS member also had the prestigious role of being a torch-bearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics as one of South Korea's representatives. His participation garnered huge international attention and ARMYs were delighted to see their favourite artist carry out this highly regarded task. We certainly can't wait to see what else Jin has under his sleeves as this star is just getting started.
