Cover Story: Thai Star, Jeff Satur Embarks on a Stylish Journey
Thai artiste Jeff Satur embarks on a journey with the latest Maison Valentino collection by Alessandro Michele.
L'OFFICIEL: You attended Alessandro Michele’s recent debut show as Creative Director of Maison Valentino during Paris Fashion Week.
Jeff Satur: I was already excited beforehand because I had no idea how the show would turn out! Watching the show, I felt that it was like a performance art piece, something that kept me completely on edge the entire time. I was thrilled by the music, the outfits, and everything presented in front of me. You could tell that each segment of the show had been thoughtfully conceptualised.
What are your thoughts on the collection by Alessandro Michele?
I feel that this collection boldly blends the beauty of different cultures into something we might never have imagined in fashion before. It’s about finding unique beauty and merging it into something innovative and real. The most thrilling part is you don’t know where these clothes will take you — they bring a new form of beauty to whoever wears them. That anticipation is what makes it so exciting.
What’s it like working with Valentino, including this recent Paris Fashion Week trip with the brand?
Since I started working with Valentino, I’ve felt a strong family atmosphere. Whenever we work together, whether for fashion weeks or other events, there’s a lot of planning of the designs I’ll wear and the story behind each event. This Paris Fashion Week was particularly special because it was my first time wearing a collection designed by Alessandro Michele. His clothes feel exotic, combining various cultural influences to bring a fresh and exciting experience with every outfit.
“THE MOST THRILLING PART IS YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE THESE CLOTHES WILL TAKE YOU — THEY BRING A NEW FORM OF BEAUTY TO WHOEVER WEARS THEM. THAT ANTICIPATION IS WHAT MAKES IT SO EXCITING.”
What does fashion mean to you, and how important is it in your daily life?
Fashion is in every aspect of my life. To me, fashion is another form of storytelling, a type of art that is ever-present: on the stage, in the films I watch, in every bit of art I consume. Truly everywhere. Fashion is a way to tell a story, and it’s visible in what we wear each day and the story we choose to present. Every stage and every project I take on, I make sure to tell a story through my outfits.
You’ve been in the entertainment industry for a long time. Is there anything you want to try but haven’t had the opportunity to?
I’d like to try voice acting, and also musical theatre. These are things I’ve never done and would love to explore.
What can your fans look forward to from you in 2025?
I’m producing a series called Happy Ending, which is currently in the script development phase. There are some exciting projects lined up next year as well, including English songs, collaborations with other artistes, and new acting projects. Please stay tuned!
Lastly, do you have a message for your fans?
I hope everyone finds joy in everything they do and can live with simple happiness. On days when you feel discouraged or tired, come together, lean on each other, and renew your spirits. I hope my work can make your bad days a little better and bring more smiles to your face. Thank you everyone who has supported me all this time. Whenever or however we meet, I’m grateful to have met you. I believe there’s something exciting awaiting us on every path we take together.
