A Closer Look at Ermenegildo Zegna's Minimalist Summer 2022 Collection
Fluidity of movement, comfort and minimalism for Summer 2022 by Ermenegildo Zegna.
We couldn't talk about Ermenegildo Zegna's new collection without mentioning the well-thought-out location, which brings two main feelings: Freedom and imprisonment. Its Menswear 2022 show unveils narrow corridors within a labyrinth of bushes close horizons, focusing the vision for this dimensional effect, contrasting with open environments giving breadth to the look that runs through the various details of the collection, in a film that in its cinematographic movement guides us at different paces for every need.
The Ermenegildo Zegna XXX Summer 2022 collection presented contrasting elements of ideology, where Utopia would be the result of Dystopian environments — with the objective of bringing comfort and practicality. Zegna creates models that present the consumer with a New World and attention extra for everyday needs.
With the resumption of the future worker's routines outside the home office, we see elements such as utilitarian pockets, pieces that refer to "workwear", standardized in oversized shapes and covering different types of bodies, almost as if they wanted to keep the comfort of home on the streets in a minimalist and harmonic way. Tailoring gains new formats and timely adaptations for this new and expected future.
The color palette presents itself in a fluid way and with a smooth transition, although some points of more saturated color are present for a visual break; earthy tones and green are very strong giving the way for the addition of chromatic variations such as pink and blue.
Also utilitarian accessories in maxibags, varied modeling inspired by a paper bag to the classic document folder, structured glasses with a slight memory of the 70s.
A renewal in hope for a new era of calm and breath, for a light and welcoming New World.
