The Italian brand Zegna is officially launching the next chapter of its Oasi Zegna Global Initiatives in Aspen, Colorado—a continuation of founder Ermenegildo Zegna’s original vision, which began with the planting of a single tree in Trivero, Italy. “An oasis is a place that vision builds — as my grandfather proved by creating the Oasi Zegna, when he looked out over barren mountains and imagined a future shaped by beauty and purpose,” says CEO Gildo Zegna. Today, the Oasi Zegna nature preserve stretches across 100 km² of the Alps, sheltering more than 500,000 trees in this carefully cultivated landscape.

The choice to bring Oasi Zegna to Colorado stems from the devastating 2018 Lake Christine Fire in Aspen. In partnership with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, the initiative focuses on wildfire recovery, large-scale reforestation, and environmental education. More than 160,000 trees have already been replanted as part of these restoration efforts.

Looking beyond the Alps and Aspen, the foundation has also pledged to support the reinvigoration of public parks from Milan to Palm Beach and Boston. "With the Oasi Zegna Global Initiatives, we reaffirm our enduring belief that nature, culture and community must evolve together. This is not just about preservation — it’s about creating new spaces for connection and growth," Zegna shared.
