Your First Look At The Bulgari x Gran Turismo Collaboration Timepiece
The special edition Bulgari Aluminum x Gran Turismo chronographs seamlessly blend the virtual and real worlds.
At the thrilling Gran Turismo World Series finale in Barcelona, Bulgari unveiled its latest marvel, the "Aluminum Vision GT" hypercar. This stunning creation, tailored for the high-speed realms of Gran Turismo game, debuted alongside two special editions of Bulgari Aluminum x Gran Turismo chronographs, drawing inspiration from the sleek Bulgari Aluminum collection launched in 1998, now intricately linked with the iconic racing simulation game.
The special edition Bulgari Aluminum x Gran Turismo chronographs seamlessly blend the virtual and real worlds. One edition boasts a striking yellow lacquered dial with black counters, reminiscent of the dashboards adorning legendary Italian cars of the 1990s. Meanwhile, a second, more understated version features an anthracite brushed dial with yellow indexes, limited to just 1,200 pieces. Bulgari introduces a tachymetric scale to these chronographs for the first time since relaunching the Aluminum collection in 2020.
Under the hood, these timepieces house a self-winding caliber B381 movement, crafted by Bulgari's integrated manufacture, based on the reliable Sellita SW300 with an added chronograph module by Dubois-Depraz. The tricompax display showcases the date at 5 o'clock, small seconds at 3 o'clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, and 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock. Natural rubber takes center stage on the bezel, adorned with Bulgari's signature in Roman capitals, while the bracelet features articulated links connected by aluminum rods, secured with a matching pin buckle. The 41mm aluminum caseback and crown are forged from extra-resilient high-tech titanium with a black DLC treatment, showcasing the 10th Anniversary Vision GT logo.
Packaged in a bespoke aluminum and rubber box, each limited-edition Bulgari "Aluminum x Gran Turismo" chronograph celebrates the 10th anniversary of Vision GT. Purchasers receive a unique code granting access to drive the Bulgari hypercar in the game too.
The Aluminum x Gran Turismo series comprises 500 copies with a yellow dial and 1,200 with a gray dial, featuring an aluminum case, 41mm diameter, DLC-treated titanium background and crown, rubber bezel, water resistance up to 100m, and a mechanical chronograph movement with automatic winding, offering a 42-hour power reserve.
