Casio G-SHOCK Arrives at Changi Jewel
The store opening is accompanied by the worldwide debut of the 40th Anniversary Clear Remix models.
As part of its ongoing 40th anniversary celebrations, Casio G-SHOCK opens its first retail outlet at Changi Jewel. The store will carry the full range of the iconic “tough watch”, from the premium MR-G to the classic digital, and everything in between.
To commemorate the opening, Casio invited local artist and founder of Temple of Skate Mister Tucks to create a mural that will be exclusively showcased in the store. An avid wearer of G-SHOCK himself, Tucks re-envisions the mythical Eastern dragon with armour inspired by the sleek metal band of the Full Metal series, lending it an aura of invincibility. The majestic artwork will also appear on paper bags exclusively designed by Tucks, available with any purchase from the store while stocks last.
Speaking of purchases, the Jewel store debuts the worldwide launch of the 40th Anniversary Clear Remix collection. Seven see-through models offer an unobstructed view of their internal components, including the module and circuit board, giving an almost ethereal quality to G-SHOCK’s indestructible identity. In a nod to the special occasion, their casebacks feature the Eric Haze-designed 40th logo, while their band loops are engraved with four stars.
