Out of this World: Check Out the View on the Bell & Ross BR-03 Astro

An original display where the moon and Mars revolve around the Earth to tell the time.

Bell & Ross’ iconic timepieces are modelled after instrumentation found on flight dashboards to mimic a view from inside the cockpit. With the new BR-03 Astro, an incredible shift in perspective occurs: you can now gaze upon a complete orbital system within its 41mm frame.

The scenography is inspired by a lookout from inside the Cupola, an observation dome on the International Space Station, in which one can observe Earth “over there” from “up here”. The spectacle is centred on the Blue Planet, which is realistically rendered onto the sapphire glass of the watch, inside a spherical cap carved in the middle.

Floating around the Earth: a small satellite for the seconds, a laser-engraved moon for the minutes, and Mars on the distant periphery for the hours. The wandering time display, set against the celestial aventurine dial, emphasises the mystery and magic of the cosmos. The black ceramic case, together with the black rubber or fabric strap, evoke the expansive darkness of outer space.

Limited to 999 pieces, the BR-03 Astro launches Bell & Ross’ time instruments to playful, cosmic heights.

"The magic of this watch lies in its display — not as a technical interpretation of an instrument watch but, for once, an imaginative dimension."

Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Bell & Ross
