BTS' J-Hope Celebrates His Birthday By Announcing New Music & Docuseries
The global star may be serving the military currently, but he's got plenty of surprised up his sleeves for ARMYs
BTS' J-Hope is celebrating his 30th birthday in a big way! Despite the K-pop idol and global star currently serving his mandatory military enlistment, he surprised fans by unveiling a brand new special album titled, Hope On The Street Vol. 1 set to drop very soon on March 29. And that's not all! In tandem with the release of his brand new solo project, the BTS member and lead dancer has also announced a docuseries, Hope On The Street which will be premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 27 — Leading up to the album drop.
While J-Hope's military conscription will only be completed in October this year, fans don't have to wait long to hear from their idol as Hope On The Street Vol. 1 promises six brand new tracks from the rapper, of which Big Hit Entertainment has confirmed today. Simultaneously, the docuseries will be in six parts as well, chronicling J-Hope's dance journey across the globe as he meets up with street dancers from Osaka, Paris, New York, Seoul and Gwangju.
For eagle-eyed ARMYs, the official announcement of the docuseries is certainly less of a surprise as J-Hope had previously teased the series on fellow BTS member Suga's SUCHWITA web show in July last year. Both projects are aimed to, "dive into the theme of dance, the core of J-Hope’s artistic roots and identity." And we cannot wait!
