The Best Men’s Spring 2025 Fragrances That Go Beyond Just ‘Fresh’
The season calls for a reset—and that includes your scent.
The shift to a new season brings a wave of fresh releases in menswear, with brands rolling out collections and pieces designed to reset style. That includes grooming, too—especially fragrance. The latest drops embrace scents that lean into crisp citruses, airy florals and subtle woods.
Not everything is a complete shake-up, however, as plenty of brands are sticking to what works… just with a twist. After all, there’s something to be said for familiarity with a little extra edge. That being said, among the latest arrivals, there are fragrances that stand out, bringing a breath of fresh air to the season ahead.
The storied British perfumerie adds another character to their Portraits collection, Fortuitous Finley—An enigmatic groundskeeper who is down-to-earth as he is charming. Based on this, the House has created an earthy yet warm and comforting fragrance that balances perfectly between refinement and rebellion. A spicy opening of cardamom and black pepper adds intrigue before giving way to green matcha and creamy salted pistachio. All this over a sophisticated and grounding base of leather and orris.
Penhaligon's Portraits Fortuitous Finley, $450 for 75ml
A brand new decadent range from luxury fragrance house, Amouage — 'The Essences' line features three new nuanced and beautifully crafted scents that uses a special double-infusion process. With this method, the concentrate is infused with sandalwood chips from Australia’s Western Desert. After which the infused concentrate is aged for six months in hand-made, artisanal oakwood barrels to create a creamy, woody and deep aroma. From this, the fragrances 'Reasons', 'Lustre' and 'Outlands' were created with their own unique facets and poured into chic matte, ceramic bottles, a new silhouette for the Amouage house.
Amouage Purpose 50, S$675 for 100ml
This one's not for the tame and meek. Tom Ford has released a more amplified and voluptuous rendition of their iconic Fabulous perfume—A scent so rebellious, it had to be censored. This decadent rendition adds an increased dosage of supple leather, fir balsam absolute and a deeper expression of the fragrance's signature roasted tonka bean note. The latter adds elegance and warmth to this bold scent that lasts all day and is guaranteed to make you feel f***ing fabulous.
TOM FORD Fabulous Parfum, S$922 for 50ml
For those who grew up in the 90s, JPG's Le Male was certainly unescapeable. Beloved by men and women alike for its sweet yet masculine take on lavender and years later, it's beloved in all its different forms. The latest called Le Male Elixir Absolu adds a smouldering intensity to the iconic scent with tonka bean, amber and balsam for a magnetic trail. Spicy plum accord also adds a touch of juicy sensuality without ever feeling heavy.
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir Absolu, S$168 for 75ml
Francis Kurkdjian dials up the intensity on this classic, overdosing on iris to create a scent that’s both commanding and undeniably refined, while rich amber and deep woods anchor its elegance. Think perfectly tailored and slightly unbuttoned—just enough to keep them wanting more.
Dior Homme Parfum, S$189 for 50ml
You know that first really good Spring day? When the air is crisp, the sun is warm and everything feels a little more alive? That’s what Fiori di Neroli smells like. Zesty citrus, soft florals and just a hint of warmth—clean, but not too clean… like fresh air with a bit of an edge.
Gucci Fiori di Neroli, S$575 for 100ml
Some scents whisper—but not this one. Phantom Elixir Intense is built for the after-hours—dark, bold and undeniably magnetic. A rush of marine notes cuts through the night, giving way to the raw edge of oud and the slow burn of vanilla. It’s the perfect companion for nights that stretch into morning.
Rabanne Phantom Elixir Intense, S$201 for 100ml
Pêche Mirage plays with contrast, from its ripe peach and smooth leather scent down to the bottle’s soft curves and sharp edges. The osmanthus adds depth, while the sandalwood keeps it grounded. The result? A scent that’s sensual, modern and a little unexpected.
Guerlain Pêche Mirage, S$580 for 100ml
Mandarine Fauve has that just-rolled-out-of-bed energy—bright, a little wild and impossible to ignore. The mandarin is fresh, the green notes crisp and the fir balsam brings just the right amount of depth to the mix. It’s bold without trying too hard, and that’s the point.
Atelier Cologne Mandarine Fauve, Price upon request
Le Beau Flower Edition is what we call temptation in a bottle. A wild take on the original, it blends zesty kumquat and lemon with violet leaf’s unexpected floral edge. Add in the depth of patchouli, cashmeran and tonka bean, and you get a scent that’s just the right amount of unruly.
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Flower Edition, $180 for 125ml
Sun Cities smells like golden hour in a bottle. Bright pineapple and mandarin kick things off before the leather, saffron and oakmoss step in to keep it smooth. It’s an easygoing kind of scent, but one that knows how to make an impression—and one that lasts.
Vilhelm Parfumerie Sun Cities, €300 for 100ml
