From 1cl to 9L, Louis XIII Decanters are Rendezvous of Different Magnitudes
There’s no “one size fits all” because every golden moment is unique.
Louis XIII cognac celebrates life’s extraordinary moments, its exquisite eaux-de-vie delineated into various volumes through precious decanters for different occasions. With their remarkable shape, dentelles and royal fleur-de-lys motif, these beautiful bottles are elegant capsules of memories and emotions to be experienced through the amber liquid held within.
The original design of the Louis XIII decanter is inspired by a historic flask discovered on a battlefield in Jarnac dating back to 1569. Acquired by Paul-Émile Rémy Martin in 1850, the shapely artefact was brought back to life in the finest crystal and decorated with 20 carat gold in order to hold his finest matured eaux-de-vie from Grand Champagne.
Today, the iconic decanter runs the range from 1cl to 9L, each handcrafted by master artisans from prestigious crystal houses around Europe to represent a different rendezvous. The 70cl Classic is the centrepiece of the collection, calibrated for an intimate session with a dinner companion. The 1.75L Magnum satisfies group tastings among best buds, while the 3L Jeroboam and 6L Mathusalem cater to more spirited affairs involving larger parties and fashionable cocktails. Finally, the monumental 9L Salmanazar is reserved for one-of-a-kind occasions befitting its sublime sizing, say a wedding or anniversary.
Louis XIII cognac are for personal experiences as well. The 5cl Miniature is the perfect introduction to the masterpiece blend, a gem that can be carried around and enjoyed as you please. The newest 1cl The Drop takes the notion of portability to the extreme — it can literally be worn on the body! — distilling centuries of heritage into one single spontaneous sip.
Whatever your preferred tasting moments, there’s a Louis XIII decanter to keep the golden nectar flowing.
