adidas and Prada Drop the A+P Luna Rossa 21 in Two New Colourways
Following the initial success of the white A+P Luna Rossa 21, the brands have collaborated on a grey and black variation for the collection.
adidas and Prada have changed the game when it comes to performance sneakers — merging adidas’ knowledge of performance gear and sportswear with Prada’s historically stylish aesthetic to create the perfect pair of sneakers.
Although they may look the same, both pairs of sneakers serve different purposes. The grey variation was originally created as a lifestyle sneaker for sailors to use — even worn by the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team as they won the PRADA Cup — and the black crafted specifically to represent the brands’ legacies.
As for its design, the shoe was heavily influenced by the AC75 Luna Rossa boat. Made using adidas’ sustainable technology ‘PRIMEGREEN’ and upcycled materials to create a hydrophobic E-TPU outer shell, a comfortable EVA tongue, unique speed lacing system, and perforated synthetic suede inner saddle, as well as adidas’ very own ‘BOOST’ midsole and wrap-around outsole that you may already be familiar with in their UltraBoost sneakers, this performance sneaker will be the epitome of comfort for sports enthusiasts everywhere.
Both coloursways of the A+P Luna Rossa 21 will launch globally on Monday, 19 July in Prada boutiques, adidas flagship stores, prada.com, adidas.com and Confirmed.
