That philosophy runs throughout the collection. Relaxed, generously cut trousers transition seamlessly from cycling through Rue Saint-Honoré to an evening dinner at Place Saint-Michel. An elegant jabot-front shirt is worn with the ease of a simple T-shirt. A sharply tailored jacket with sculpted shoulders, fastened with an oversized safety pin, is layered over a cotton vest. Part of the collection's appeal lies in its unexpected combinations. A turquoise satin cummerbund cinches a flowing beach tunic. An antique brooch that looks as though it was discovered at a Paris flea market sits naturally on a roll-neck jumper. Skin-tight trousers inspired by performance wear are paired with refined cashmere, while an aristocratic cape is worn over a neoprene sweatshirt reminiscent of a wetsuit. In one entirely beige outfit, a single red leather glove transforms the whole look.
This ability to elevate everyday dressing through one carefully chosen detail perfectly captures Rider's philosophy. Rather than encouraging endless consumption, he invites people to see their existing wardrobes in a new light. No two people own exactly the same clothes or accessories. This season also continues Rider's campaign to champion white jeans, styling them with ballet flats, oversized shirts, beaded necklaces inspired by global craftsmanship and lightweight pea coats. Once again, familiar wardrobe staples feel fresh without appearing forced.

Nothing about Rider's styling feels overly calculated. His looks appear to have evolved naturally over time, assembled from treasured vintage finds, inherited favourites and pieces collected during travels. That authenticity is precisely what makes the collection feel so believable.
The return of slim-fit trousers also feels entirely at home within this wardrobe. Seen across several menswear runways this season, the silhouette recalls Hedi Slimane's influential work at Dior Men, while Prada continues to explore the elongated proportions first championed by Raf Simons in the 1990s. Rider joins that conversation without relying on nostalgia. Slim trousers are simply one option within a much broader wardrobe, allowing each wearer to define their own style.
Among the guests, Grace Jones embodied this philosophy perfectly. A rare presence on the front row, she attended the show wearing a bowler hat from an earlier Celine collection. She smiled, danced and looked completely at ease. It wasn't because she wore the most dramatic outfit in the room, but because her clothes felt like a genuine expression of her personality.
That may be the true strength of today's Celine. The brand no longer speaks only to fashion insiders. Instead, it appeals to people who already know their own style and don't need trends to define it.
