In the realm of luxury fashion, 2024 is about to be Hong Kong’s year. French fashion house Dior has just announced that it will be presenting its menswear Pre-Fall show in Hong Kong in the first half of next year. The announcement comes just days after Louis Vuitton confirmed its Men’s Pre-Fall presentation on the island.

The last time Dior staged a presentation in Hong Kong was in 2016, and earlier in 2014 for a haute couture collection. Kim Jones, the Artistic Director for Dior’s menswear, will be unveiling next year’s Pre-Fall menswear looks at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Hong Kong, with expectations already running high. Jones introduced his last Pre-Fall collection in Giza, Egypt last year. Talk about grand – the collection, presented in December 2022, was shown against the monumental backdrop of The Great Pyramid of Giza.

Dior released a statement, stating, “After Tokyo, Miami, London, Los Angeles and Cairo, this destination once again celebrates the artistic director’s passion for travel and world cultures — so dear to Monsieur Dior.” Like Monsieur Christian Dior, Kim Jones is known for his travel-inspired fashion flourishes. While much remains to be seen, one thing’s for certain. The modernity of Kim Jones’ bold voice for Dior will be amplified by the palatial Hong Kong cityscape next year.
