Hermès Redefines Urban Elegance and Light Luxury For Spring/Summer 2026

Under the sweltering heat of Paris, Hermès unveils a refined wardrobe for the modern, relaxed man.

Amidst the stifling June heat in Paris, Véronique Nichanian delivered a breath of controlled elegance with her latest spring menswear collection for Hermès. As the show ended at Place d’Iéna, sun-drenched and slightly sweat-slicked guests emerged smiling, the mood in the air one of calm confidence and cultivated ease.

There was no spectacle here, no theatrical statement—just a quietly luxurious wardrobe for the discreet man of means. The Hermès man is urbane and unshowy, someone for whom nonchalance isn’t carelessness but a deliberate art of living.

Nichanian’s pursuit of lightness was evident in the craftsmanship. Leather garments were reimagined with ventilation—subtle perforations that brought a modern sensibility to traditionally weighty pieces. Bomber jackets, T-shirts, and even trousers featured this openwork detail, allowing air and light to flow freely through the collection.

Silhouettes were relaxed yet precise: jackets cropped and cut for movement, volumes expanded without excess. Materials like buttery leather, soft cashmere, and hammered satin skimmed the body, barely clinging—clothing designed to be worn, not displayed.

Every element whispered refinement. Fringed leather bandanas, sandals cinched with rope, and oversized bags—some playfully illustrated with cheeky monkeys—carried a sense of humour without sacrificing sophistication. These were not accessories; they were clues to a lifestyle where ease and elegance coexist.

This was summer dressing stripped of fuss. A wardrobe for men who don't need to shout to be seen.
