Hamilton Releases Two Limited Edition Venturas for “Dune: Part Two”

The real-world timepieces are inspired by a custom “Desert Watch” from the space opera.

When Denis Villeneuve needed for a custom timepiece for his blockbuster sequel Dune: Part Two, who better to answer the call than Hamilton? The “watchmaker of the silver screen” has had over 500 cinematic appearances since 1932, dressing wrists with the Ventura in Men In Black, Jazzmaster in Ocean’s Eight, Khaki Field in Interstellar, and most recently with vintage pieces sourced from collectors in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

But the world of Arrakis demanded a larger-than-life creation. So, together with prop master Doug Harlocker, Hamilton crafted an entirely original, distinctly Fremen “Desert Watch” for the sci-fi epic. The creative spirit of this fictional device is channeled into a pair of limited editions for the real world: the analog Ventura Bright features glowing blue lines that trace out the design of its film counterpart, while the digital Ventura Edge comes with a new PVD-coated angular case.

The launch of the Venture Bright and Ventura Edge will coincide with the theatrical release of Dune: Part Two on 29 February, with both available in commemorative packaging for fans of the series.
