Enjoy Sweet and Savoury Bites at Lucine by LUNA
Located at TripleOne Somerset, the new cafe by the popular Singaporean patisserie offers hot dishes for the first time.
Best known for their sophisticated sweet treats like the signature Orh Nee Cake, popular homegrown patisserie LUNA now adds a new menu of savoury hot dishes with their cafe-concept Lucine by LUNA. Opened in August at TripleOne Somerset, the dining space provides a nice respite from the hustle of the busy shopping street where you can grab a quick bite within a tranquil paper garden brought to life by local paper artist Pei Li.
Of course, the draw of Lucine (compared to the original dessert-only outlet at Amoy Street) is the exclusive hot foods like sandwiches, salads and light bites. Sandwiches are the main attraction, prepared with toasted sourdough and brioche and stuffed with a variety of fillings. There’s the Grilled Cheese with mozzarella, cheddar and parmesan; Tofu Katsu, a panko-crusted beancurd cutlet with spicy sriracha mayo; and Spam & Cheese, which features a generous cut of chicken spam.
If you’re feeling extra peckish, there’s an All Day Breakfast with sunshine scrambled eggs, toasted sourdough and a side of fresh greens. Add-ons include tater tots, sautéed garlic mushrooms, creamed spinach and chicken sausage. Salads also provide a light and wholesome lunch, from the protein-packed Sous Vide Chicken Salad, to the vegetarian Eggplant Salad with aubergine fritters.
No LUNA joint is complete without a selection of sweet entremets. The latest collection of delectable desserts includes the refreshing Citrus Tart, fluffy Pistachio Roulade, and adorable Tofu, a pillow of silken tofu cream served on a sablé base. The coffees, too, come with a dessert twist, with flavoured lattes like Tiramisu, Peanut Butter and Black Sesame.
