Dior Tears Launches with a Series of Pop-Up Stores Around the World
The capsule includes a selection of iconic men’s accessories updated with denim.
Dior celebrates the launch of Dior Tears with a series of exclusive pop-ups around the world, including London (8 to 13 July), Tokyo (11 to 30 July), Seoul (13 to 22 July) and Shanghai (15 to 25 July). Visitors to these spaces can expect installations dotted with giant inflatables, video projections, and a downloadable digital production by artist Azuma Makoto’s studio.
The Dior Tears capsule is the result of a collaboration between Dior Men artistic director Kim Jones and guest designer Tremaine Emory of Denim Tears. Largely influenced by the look of African-American Ivy League students of the 50s and 60s as well as the laid-back style of jazz musicians from the same era, the collection combines preppy elegance with classic workwear, as unpretentious plaid shirts, varsity jackets and chinos pair up with the sartorial sleekness of wool overcoats, tailored suiting and leather accessories.
The capsule also includes a selection of iconic men’s accessories reinvented with denim, such as the Saddle and Lingot bags, along with the B33 sneaker. The latter sees the timeless tennis shoe elevated with House codes, and is the first Dior creation to utilise an encrypted digital key for dedicated services like authenticity certification and future launch previews. There is also a limited and numbered edition containing a Digital Twin Collectible, exclusively available online.
Both the Dior Tears capsule and B33 sneaker are part of the Dior Men Fall 2023 collection, and will drop in boutiques on 13 July.
